Serving Thiruneermalai
What Thiruneermalai patients come to Anakaputhur for
Thiruneermalai sits under its hill about 5 km south of us, and getting here does not involve GST Road at all. Thiruneermalai Main Road runs north towards Polichalur and Pammal, and Pammal Main Road turns west from there into Anakaputhur. Twenty minutes is normal. The roads on this side are narrower than the highway routes but a good deal quieter.

Getting here
The route from Thiruneermalai
From the temples at the foot of the hill, take Thiruneermalai Main Road north towards Polichalur and Pammal, then turn west on to Pammal Main Road, which runs into Anakaputhur. Kamaraj Street is a short turn off it in Kamatchi Nagar.
The Chennai Bypass runs through Thiruneermalai and carries on past Pammal and Anakaputhur before it turns north, and the entry and exit ramps on the Thiruneermalai stretch make it the quickest way west. If you already use that side of the road for the airport run, you are pointed the right way for us.
Much of what we do for patients from this side is unhurried work on older mouths. A partial denture that has stopped fitting, a bridge that has given way, four or five teeth lost over as many years. Those cases start with an examination, radiographs and a written plan rather than with treatment, and we would rather you went home from the first visit holding a schedule and a cost than with a tooth half opened.

Why the trip is worth it
The cases that reach us from Thiruneermalai have usually waited a while. Several teeth missing, a bridge that failed, a tooth sore for months that was managed with tablets. Work like that needs a surgical plan and a prosthetic plan that agree with each other before anything is touched, and getting that settled properly in one longer visit saves several short ones later.

Questions we get from Thiruneermalai
Will I know the cost before I commit to anything?
Yes, at the first visit. The examination, the x-rays and a written estimate happen the same day, so you leave knowing what the work is, what it costs and how many appointments it will take. Patients from Thiruneermalai often bring a son or daughter along to hear the plan too, which is worth doing for the bigger cases.
My dentures were made years ago and no longer fit. Do I need implants?
Sometimes a reline is enough and that is a much smaller job. Sometimes the ridge underneath has shrunk so far that no adjustment will hold them, and that is the point where implants to anchor the denture start to make sense. We will tell you which one you are at the first visit and we do not push the bigger option when the smaller one holds.
A tooth was taken out years ago and the gap is still there. Is it too late for an implant?
Usually not, but bone thins where a tooth has been missing a long time, so a scan comes before any promises. If there is not enough bone we can often build it up first, which adds months to the plan. Better to know that at the start than halfway through.
